About the role

We are recruiting for an experienced semi senior /senior to join our Business Services department. Consideration will be given to both qualified or part qualified AAT ACA ACCA applicants and those who are qualified by experience. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain skills, knowledge and expertise in a busy firm of Chartered Accountants.

The successful applicant will work, with full supervision and support, primarily in our Business Services department on accountancy and tax assignments including the preparation of accounts for sole traders, partnerships, limited companies, and the preparation of related returns including corporation tax and VAT returns. The work will be primarily in our offices and occasionally at clients’ premises and we will consider support study for professional accountancy qualifications as appropriate.

Skills required

  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Confident but polite telephone manner
  • Attention to detail with good organisation
  • Experience using Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Experience of accounting packages including Sage Line 50 and cloud applications
  • A driving licence and use of a car are desirable though not absolutely essential.
